Activities
Every day there is an increasing number of cultural activities by or about women, and the Ministry of Culture has reflected this in its programme for some time now.
- The Reina Sofía Museum organises many monographical exhibitions on the work of important contemporary artists.
- The Filmoteca Española (Spanish Film Archive) organises film seasons dedicated to women every year in the Doré Cinema.
- The National Library dedicates cycles of conferences and exhibitions to women.
- There is an increasing number of stage plays written and directed by and starring women in the Ministry's drama centres.
- Women have a special presence in opera and dance.
