The Ministry of Culture to participate in the Ellas Crean Festival
For the third consecutive year, the Ellas Crean Festival is to be held to mark International Women's Day, 8 March. The festival has been organised by the Ministry of the Presidency and the Ministry of Labour and Social Affairs, together with the participation of a number of other Ministries and Institutions. This year's festival is to focus on two issues: urban views and the African continent.
Once again, the Ministry of Culture is taking part in this celebration, through the organisation or sponsorship of a variety of activities:
- Film Season Africa and Women, organised by the Spanish Film Library at Cine Doré (between the 1 and 15 March, 2007)
As has become customary in the Ellas Crean season, the films efficiently complement the view that this creative perspective offers on women in our times and which, on this occasion, weaves its references around two great themes: the role of women in Africa and the urban perspective of gender.
