The Education, Youth and Culture Council will hold two meetings of Ministers of Culture during the Spanish Presidency, the ordinary six-monthly meeting in Brussels on 10 and 11 May, and an informal meeting on 31 March in Barcelona.

In this city, the Ministers of Culture will meet following the European Forum of Cultural Industries, which will be held on the preceding days, also in Barcelona. The meeting is intended to open a political debate that, with the additional input of the conclusions of the Forum, will help to encourage development of cultural and creative industries in Europe and internationally.
