The European Board of National Archivists (EBNA) brings together the highest authorities from the national archives of EU member states. Countries which have applied to join the EU and representatives of the European Commission are also invited. The purpose of these six-monthly meetings is to build communication among the national archive administrations of EU member states.

Structure and content:

The conference is organised into three consecutive sessions which will deal with the evolution of Archives into Historical Memory Documentary Centres, International Co-operation regarding archives between the member states of the European Union and non-members, and finally, interoperability between European projects for making information available online.

At the end of the 21st Conference of the European Erase of National Archivists will be held the 8th meeting of the “European Archives Group” (EAG).
