Citizen Services Intellectual Property
The General Register of Intellectual Property is unique in Spain and is made up of Regional Registers and the Central Register as well as a Co-ordination Commission which exists as a collaborative organ between the Registers.
The Regional Registers are established and managed by the Autonomous Communities and the Cities of Ceuta and Melilla. So far the Registers for Andalusia, Aragon, Asturias, Catalonia, Extremadura, Galicia, La Rioja, Madrid, Murcia and Valencia have been created.
The Central Register is part of the Spanish Central Administration and reports to the Ministry of Education, Culture and Sport.
In all Provincial Capitals of the Spanish Autonomous Communities without a Regional Register and in the cities of Ceuta and Melilla there is a Provincial Office of the Central Register.
