Council of St James

Previous Holy Years

The Way of St. James plays a leading role in Jacobean Years, highlighting its status as a link between people from a diverse range of backgrounds and origins. This thousand-year old route has served as a vehicle for communication in Europe throughout its history.

To celebrate the Holy Years, the Council of St. James offers a joint programme of activities to commemorate this event and improve the welcome received by visitors and pilgrims who travel the Way. This section of the website includes information on the actions carried out during the last Jacobean years, in 1999 and 2004.
