The National Historical Archive has two rooms for consulting documents, one for originals and the other for documentation on microfilm.
The general consulting room has 78 consulting stations, 62 of which are designed for consulting original documents; 16 have an internet connection for consulting digitalised documentation and for access to PARES. From these stations the Archive Register Guide and other websites related to National Historical Archive documentation may be consulted.
Room adjoining consulting room: here documentation on microfilm may be consulted in compliance with Circular 8 of May 1992 "on the use of reproductions of documents for consultation instead of original documents". This room is equipped with a 16-millimetre microfilm reader-player, three 35-millimetre reader-players and a microfiche reader.
