The General Administration Archive organises free periodic exhibitions of reproductions of its documents.
It collaborates with other institutions for temporary document loans. An evaluation of the works is required beforehand, together with a ministerial order that authorises the loan of the documents.
All formalities are carried out directly through the Archive's Reference Department. Two months' advance notice is required for the temporary loan at the Archive's Administration Office.
Additionally, if necessary, the Archive treats and restores the requested documents, prior to their display in temporary exhibitions.
The Archive collaborates with other institutions, both national and international, in organising cultural events.
The Archive offers the possibility for educational tours of its premises, to promote its functions and services. These tours can be adapted to the educational background or interests of each group which, as a rule (with exceptions), should be for no more than 20 people. They are accompanied by an archivist along the route established for the tour. Due to their appeal, the document copy and restoration laboratories are included in the tour. The tour must be requested in advance, by telephone or in writing. The Archive will respond immediately with an available date and time.
