Permanent Exhibition. The exhibition is located in the exhibition room on the ground floor of the archive. Its aim is to show visitors the history of the Court of the Royal Chancery of Valladolid and its archive through photographs, original documents and digitised images from the collection of maps and drawings.
With the displayed documents and images, visitors can understand the role the Chancery played in the administration of justice, its importance in the city of Valladolid and the evolution of its archive throughout history.
The exhibition room is open to the public the same hours as the archive. The visit is free, but outside the public opening hours an agreement must be drawn up, pursuant to the Decree dated 20 January 1995 (published in the Spanish Official Gazette, BOE on the 24 January, 1995).
This educational activity, designed for all kinds of groups (secondary school groups, university groups, associations, etc.), seeks to raise visitors' awareness of concerning the role the archives play in society, inform of the heritage and historical wealth of the Archive of the Royal Chancery of Valladolid and its collection, and publicise the activities carried out in the centre.
To arrange a visit to the Archive, contact the promotion service to make an appointment. There will be no charge if the visit takes place during the centre's opening hours. Outside the aforementioned opening hours an agreement must be drawn up, pursuant to the Decree dated 20 January 1995 (published in the Spanish Official Gazette, BOE on the 24 January, 1995).
To arrange a visit a request must be made, which shall include the personal details of the applicant, details of the represented company or institution and of the group that will visit the Archive as well as the number of visitors, together with the desired date and time for the visit.
