The free access area, situated in the entrance lobby of the new facilities, is an independent space which is permanently open to citizens, including outside the opening hours of the Information Centre.

It is a self-service consultation area, with screens that offer free access to the internet, in addition to the institutional website.

It also has special internet access points for people with visual impairments and a free access point for electronic procedures.

Also, to inform citizens of the extent and quality of the cultural programme offered by the Ministry and its autonomous bodies, clips of important cultural activities are screened continuously in the lobby of the Ministry: ballet and Spanish dance sequences; scenes from plays or zarzuelas; exhibitions; activities in archives, libraries, museums, etc.

Also in the lobby, two large screens provide visitors with information on current announcements of grants, scholarships, public sector jobs and tenders from the Ministry of Culture, as well as information on cultural activities and the latest news from the Department.
